That's Raymond Brown and Declan Fogarty, two very happy members of the Ulster Flying Club photographed on arrival at Wycombe Air Park, home to Airways Aero Associations Ltd, Tecnam's exclusive dealer for the UK and Ireland. The sister aeroplane was ferried to UK by Club CFI David Phillips and Club Member Eamon Marnell.

As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, Newtownards based Ulster Flying Club elected to collect the two new Tecnam P2002JF's direct from the Tecnam production facility in Capua, Italy.

After a smooth delivery flight, taking in Pisa, Cannes and Troyes, both aeroplanes will soon be heading over to Northern Ireland, to the delight of the Ulster Flying Club's members

A delighted Stuart Jameson (right) , a member of Shropshire Aero Club's Committee is delighted to receive the keys to their new Tecnam P2002JF from Tim Orchard of Tecnam UK at this year's Aero Expo held at Sywell.

We are told that Shropshire Aero Club, based at Sleap Aerodrome, near Shrewsbury, is the UK fastest growing aero club in the UK and will now be home to its new Tecnam P2002JF G-CGWO.

The Aero Club was so enthusiastic with it selection of the Tecnam single engine aeroplane that two of its club members Bob Pooler (CFI) and Tony Elliott had the pleasure of personally collecting their new aeroplane direct from Tecnam's production facility in Capua, near Naples, Italy.

Bob said, ''It was an absolute joy to ferry Shropshire Aero Club's new Tecnam to the UK, It purred all the way!''  Bob and Tony enjoyed eleven hours in the air, routing via Pisa, Avignon and Rouen before arriving at Tecnam's UK base at Wycombe Air Park.

Beautiful Twins

16 3 Twins

With Tecnam delivering a new P2006T twin every five days, it's no wonder the ramp at Tecnam's UK base at Wycombe Air Park hosts more and more of these beautiful aeroplanes.

On the eve of this year's Aero Expo, Airways Flying Club based P2006T G-ZOOG resplendent in its Union Flag tail fin livery is joined by 2 more British registered twins.

Welcome home G-XVAX

G-XVAX

G-XVAX, the UK's first privately owned Tecnam P2006T is shown heading to its future home at Sleap in Shropshire on it recent delivery flight. This air to air shot was taken from sister ship G-ZOOG.

G-XVAX's proud owner is Jim Byrne.  Jim is a native of Ireland and appreciates  the added safety of the twin when making the sea crossing to the Emerald Isle

Having recently completed his MEP rating on one of G-XVAX sister aeroplanes (G-ZOOG) at Wycombe Air Park based, Airways Flying Club. He was absolutely delighted to be able to park the new aeroplane in the hangar at Sleap.

Did you know the footprint of the Tecnam twin is the similar most single engine aeroplanes!

From all of us at Tecnam UK, here's wishing Jim many delightful and happy hours fling 'VAX'

Tecnam Twin’s Rochester familiarisation

At the request of Kelvin Carr, Rochester's Airport Manager, Tim Orchard gives an RFFS (Rescue and Fire Fighting Services) briefing to Kelvin's personnel.

Rochester

This was the first visit to Rochester by Airways Flying Club's Tecnam P2006T twin G-ZOOG and Kelvin was keen to make sure his ops team were up to speed on the new twin on the UK GA aviation block.

G-ZOOG performed a number of faultless demo flights for prospective customers, who specifically wanted to see the twin's performance from grass runways and also were keen for Tim to showcase both it s low noise emission (you couldn't hear the twin flying overhead at 2000 feet) and fuel consumption. G-ZOOG used just 19 litres on a half hour sortie flying at around 140 knots. That's 19 litres between the 2 Rotax engines, less than the local flying club's single engined Cessnas! Yes, they were very impressed.

UK Tecnam P2006T twin fleet doubles in size!

The second Tecnam P2006T twin to be based in the UK, G-TEKK, has arrived at Wycombe Air Park.

G-TEKK pre flight

Airways Flying Club CFI John Hartill and fellow FI Jason Cameron, collected the aeroplane (the 64th P2006T) from Tecnam's Capua production facility, near Naples, Italy.

The delivery flight took in refuelling stops at Cannes, Agen and Caen.   To celebrate G-TEKK's arrival, Airways Flying Club launched their Tecnam P2006T twin, G-ZOOG, so that they could enjoy a flying in a unique formation of both the twins, with John and Jason in G-TEKK.

G-TEKK will spend a few days at Wycombe Air Park undergoing customisation before its onward delivery to AEROS Flight Training Organisation at Gloucester.

First UK privately-owned Tecnam P2006T twin is ordered

A marvellous end to Airways Aero Association's third quarter, as Managing Director Tim Orchard confirmed that the first Tecnam twin for a UK private owner, located in the West Midlands, will be delivered in spring 2011.

The new owner was captivated by the testimonials he had seen and read in numerous British general aviation magazines over the autumn. He approached Tim in October for an opportunity to take a closer look at the aeroplane. He really appreciated the flight experience and of course acknowledges the low capital cost and low running costs .... a twin for the price of a single.

The aeroplane will fit into the owner's own hangar perfectly. He was pleasantly surprised when he realised that the footprint of the Tecnam twin is the similar to his current single engine aeroplane. That was his decision made and he has naturally chosen Airways Flying Club for an MEP Rating course and is already designing the livery for his new aeroplane!

Only 18 months after EASA certification and there are now over 50 Tecnam P2006T twins operating worldwide, with Tecnam delivering a new twin every 5 days

AEROS order P2006T

AEROS Gloucester

AEROS Gloucester based flight training instructors team admire the beautiful lines of  the Tecnam P2006T Next-Generation twin and await with eager anticipation the arrival of their first aeroplane in early 2011.

"The  purchase of the Tecnam P2006T Next-Generation twin by AEROS represents a substantial investment in our future and will accelerate the significant progress we are making in expanding and modernising our Flight Training offering.''  said Tom Dunn, CEO of AEROS.
